Why a Dance Challenge?
Seven-year-old Hunter may be young, but he has big dreams.
After helping to raise funds for his sister, Harmony, who has Down syndrome, he was inspired. Most children are content to being just kids, but Hunter is transforming his passion for his sister into something bigger. Hunter decided to start his own fundraiser to help improve his sister's life, and those with Down syndrome and disabilities in his local area.
With extra time on their hands during the CoVID-19 lockdown, their family decided to create something special for the kids. Every day, they put on some music and Hunter and Harmony dance and have a blast! Having fun while dancing inspired Hunter to start "Hunter's Dance Challenge" with A Bounce Forward, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, so he could help make a positive difference for his sister, Harmony, and so many others with Down syndrome.
March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day. Hunter and Harmony will kick off “Hunter’s Dance Challenge” on this day, to celebrate the abilities and accomplishments of people with Down syndrome. They always dance like nobody’s watching and challenge you to do the same.
Please donate to our cause. All funds raised from this challenge benefit Harmony’s Heroes and A Bounce Forward. This money will support people with Down syndrome and their families to access services and supports needed to improve their lives, such as therapies and activities.
